Who can take part

  • You must be 18 or older
  • You have non-permanent atrial fibrillation or a fast abnormal heart rhythm from the upper chambers
  • You have stable coronary artery disease, such as a prior stent, bypass surgery (over 3 months ago), or blockages seen on imaging
  • Your heart's pumping strength (LVEF) is 45% or higher
  • You are not currently taking amiodarone and have no past intolerance to flecainide or both sotalol and amiodarone
  • You must not have certain heart conditions like severe heart failure, very wide QRS on ECG, or recent heart attack
