Who can take part

  • You are 18 years old or older
  • You need a procedure where a doctor uses images (like X-rays) to guide tools into your body, and usually general anesthesia would be needed
  • Your doctor thinks you are a good candidate for sedation with a medicine called ketamine, with anesthesia team standing by if needed
  • You have not eaten solid food for at least 6-8 hours before the procedure
  • You are not allergic to ketamine, fentanyl, or midazolam
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and do not have schizophrenia or uncontrolled high blood pressure
