Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 75 years old and weigh between 88 and 220 pounds.
  • You have been diagnosed with thyroid eye disease (TED) that is either active (symptoms started within the last year) or chronic (symptoms started more than a year ago).
  • Your TED is moderate-to-severe, meaning your eye bulging is at least 3 mm above normal and you have other symptoms like eyelid pulling back, swollen tissues, or double vision.
  • You do not need immediate eye surgery or radiation therapy for TED, and you agree not to have any during the study.
  • Your thyroid condition is under control (free T3 and free T4 levels not more than 50% above or below normal).
  • You have not used certain treatments like steroids, immune-suppressing drugs, or specific supplements for TED in the past few weeks or months.
