Virtual twins for personalized care in renal denervation

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 90 years old.
  • You have high blood pressure that is either untreated or treated for less than 6 months, or you have a clinical need for renal denervation (a procedure to calm overactive nerves in the kidneys).
  • Your blood pressure readings are above 140/90 mmHg in the doctor's office (or above 135/85 mmHg at home or on a 24-hour monitor).
  • You may have primary aldosteronism (a hormonal cause of high blood pressure) and need surgery to remove one adrenal gland.
  • You are not pregnant and do not have skin irritation at sites where sensors would be placed (sternum, chest, finger).
  • You have no known allergies to ultrasound gel, adhesives, electrodes, or plastics.
