Who can take part

  • Your baby was born before 32 weeks of pregnancy.
  • Your baby is on a breathing machine (ventilator) and needs it for more than 24 hours.
  • The breathing machine was started less than 72 hours ago.
  • Your baby does not have a slow heart rate (below 100 beats per minute) or heart block.
  • Your baby does not have low blood pressure needing strong medicines.
  • You and your doctor agree to the trial and sign a consent form.
