Who can take part

  • You had symptoms of a stroke affecting the front/side of your brain within the last 24 hours
  • A large blood clot in your brain's main artery was confirmed by imaging (CT or MRI)
  • You are between 18 and 80 years old
  • You were independent (able to care for yourself) before the stroke
  • You have a moderate to severe stroke score (NIHSS ≥6) and adequate brain tissue remaining (ASPECTS ≥3)
  • You can return for follow-up visits for 90 days after the stroke
