  • Diagnosed with primary hyperthyroidism confirmed by blood tests and symptoms
  • Heart rate controlled to 90 beats per minute or lower
  • Either not responding well to thyroid medications, experiencing severe side effects, or choosing not to have surgery or radioactive iodine treatment
  • No severe bleeding disorders or major problems with heart, liver, or kidneys
  • Thyroid gland positioned so doctors can safely access it with a needle
  • Able to understand the study and willing to provide written consent
