  • You are 18 years old or older
  • You have end-stage kidney disease and have been on hemodialysis (a blood-cleaning treatment) for more than 3 months
  • You have not been hospitalized or had an active infection in the past 4 weeks
  • You do not have active cancer or recent cancer treatments
  • You do not have severe liver disease with complications
  • You are able and willing to give informed consent
