  • You are 18–60 years old and of Mexican mestizo heritage
  • You have been diagnosed with metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (fatty liver disease)
  • You have obesity based on body fat percentage
  • You are physically inactive (don't exercise regularly)
  • You have not taken probiotics, antibiotics, or dietary supplements in the last 1–2 months
  • You do not have severe digestive problems, autoimmune diseases, or cancer
