Who can take part
- Age 18–65 years old
- Diagnosed with recurrent or metastatic head and neck cancer (confirmed by biopsy or cell sample)
- Previously received at least one round of platinum-based chemotherapy for advanced disease, or your cancer didn't respond to or tolerate platinum drugs
- Not a candidate for surgery or radiation therapy; have at least one tumor lesion at least 2 cm that can be injected
- No recent chemotherapy, radiation, immunotherapy, or antiviral drugs (within 4 weeks)
- Life expectancy of at least 3 months; overall health status allows light activity; normal or near-normal blood counts and liver/kidney function
