Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with Barrett's esophagus, abnormal esophageal cells, or early-stage esophageal cancer
  • You are already scheduled for a gastroscopy (camera procedure down the throat) at University Medical Center Groningen
  • You are able to give written informed consent
  • You do not have a wheat allergy
  • You do not have celiac disease or dermatitis herpetiformis (gluten-related conditions)
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding
