Study of CDR132L for heart failure with preserved pumping function

Heart Failure

Treatments studied

Part of Heart & circulation clinical trials.

This trial tests if CDR132L can improve heart structure and function in people with a type of heart failure where the heart pumps normally but is stiff and thickened. It may help if you have heart failure with preserved ejection fraction and a thickened heart muscle.

Who can take part

  • You are between 40 and 84 years old.
  • You have had heart failure symptoms for at least 3 months and need a water pill (diuretic) weekly.
  • Your heart's pumping strength is normal (50% or more) but you have a thickened heart muscle as seen on an ultrasound.
  • You have a certain level of a heart strain marker (NT-proBNP) in your blood.
  • Your kidney function is good enough (estimated filtration rate above 30).
  • You have not had a heart attack, unstable chest pain, or heart failure hospital stay in the last month.

Staging heart failure with preserved pumping function

This study is testing better ways to understand and manage heart failure where the heart pumps normally but still doesn't work as well as it should. It looks at people with symptoms like shortness of breath and fatigue, using blood tests and heart imaging to check eligibility.
