Who can take part
- You must be in cardiogenic shock caused by a recent heart attack, and you're scheduled to have an artery-opening procedure (PCI).
- Your blood pressure must be low (below 90 mmHg for at least 30 minutes) or you need medication to keep it up.
- You must have signs of poor organ blood flow, like cold skin, confusion, low urine output, or high lactate levels.
- Your C-reactive protein (CRP) level must be 7 mg/L or higher.
- You must be 18 to 80 years old, and no longer than 12 hours since shock began.
