Who can take part
- You are 18 or older
- You get your blood pressure care from a family doctor or clinic in Ontario
- Your blood pressure is above 130/80 (either at the clinic or on a 24-hour monitor)
- You are either not on blood pressure medicine, or are on just one medicine that your doctor can safely stop for 2 weeks
- A blood test shows your renin level is low (a marker for a certain type of high blood pressure)
- Your doctor thinks it is safe for you to participate as an outpatient
