Who can take part

  • You are younger than 18 years old.
  • A brain scan (like MRI or CT) confirmed your hydrocephalus is caused by a blockage (obstructive type).
  • The blockage is in the aqueduct, a narrow passage in the brain, and it developed later in childhood (not from birth).
  • You have not had a previous surgery to drain brain fluid (like a shunt).
  • You do not have an active infection, recent bleeding in the brain, or fluid pockets that are hard to reach.
