Who can take part
- You must have stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer with an EGFR mutation (either exon 19 deletion or L858R).
- You must have one main tumor in the lung that can be removed with surgery, and no more than 3 organs affected by cancer.
- You must have no more than 10 spots of cancer spread, and the main lung tumor must be larger than any single spot of spread.
- You must be able to take osimertinib pills daily for 12 weeks and have your cancer shrink or stay stable during that time.
- You must be healthy enough for surgery (good performance status and organ function).
