Who can take part
- You have paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (AF), meaning episodes of irregular heartbeat that come and go and stop on their own within 7 days.
- You are already scheduled to have a catheter ablation (a procedure to fix the irregular heartbeat) using the FARAPULSE system.
- You have not had a prior ablation in the left upper chamber of your heart.
- You do not need other heart ablation beyond isolating the pulmonary veins (the spots where AF often starts).
- You do not have severe kidney disease, severe heart failure, or major heart events (like heart attack or stroke) in the last 90 days.
