This study is investigating fatigue using digital outcomes in people with multiple sclerosis, long COVID, and healthy volunteers. Participants must own a smartphone, be fluent in German or English, and be willing to provide informed consent. Exclusion criteria include having taken certain medications recently, being pregnant or lactating, or having additional health conditions that could affect fatigue or the autonomic nervous system.

Who can take part

  • Confirmed diagnosis of MS or long COVID (for the patient group) OR healthy volunteer (for the healthy group)
  • Smartphone ownership
  • Willing and able to provide informed consent
  • Fluent in German or English
  • No use of medications affecting fatigue or autonomic nervous system (e.g., antidepressants) initiated or adjusted within the last month
  • No pregnancy or lactation
  • For MS patients: No additional comorbidities affecting fatigue or ANS (e.g., autoimmune or cardiovascular diseases)
  • For long COVID patients: No additional comorbidities diagnosed before the first COVID infection that affect fatigue or ANS
  • For healthy controls: No chronic disorders that may affect fatigue or ANS
