This study compares two treatments for a fast heartbeat called ventricular tachycardia in people with prior heart attacks and relatively preserved heart function: one uses heat energy (ablation) to fix the electrical problem, and the other places an implantable defibrillator that shocks the heart to restore normal rhythm.
