- You have been told you have aortic stenosis confirmed by an ultrasound of your heart (echocardiography), or by an invasive heart test
- The diagnosis is confirmed by a doctor using accepted methods (not just symptoms alone)
- You do not have acute coronary syndrome (a sudden problem with blood flow to the heart, like a heart attack or unstable angina)
- You do not have endocarditis (an infection of the heart lining/valves)
