Who can take part

  • You have cancer that is confirmed by pathology and you need whole-brain radiation (for treatment or prevention).
  • Your overall health is good enough for study treatment (ECOG 0–2 or KPS 70% or higher).
  • You have up to 3 brain metastasis spots, and the largest spot is 4 cm or smaller.
  • Your brain MRI does not show tumors within 5 mm of the hippocampus (memory area).
  • There is no concern that cancer has spread to the brain’s lining (leptomeningeal spread).
  • You have not had prior brain/head radiation, including focused treatment like stereotactic radiosurgery.
