This study enrolls older adults having a minimally invasive heart valve procedure (TAVI) to find “epigenetic” risk markers—signals in the body that may predict who is more likely to have complications during the procedure. If you qualify, your blood and/or samples may be studied to improve safety for future patients.

Who can take part
- Be age 70 or older
- Have severe aortic stenosis that requires TAVI (a catheter-based valve replacement)
- Be able to safely undergo the TAVI procedure
- Not have a pacemaker
- Be able to have a brain MRI if needed (no MRI contraindication)
- Not currently have cancer and not be in another treatment-focused research study
