This study looks at how your brain blood flow and breathing change during sleep under normal oxygen and reduced oxygen. It will only include healthy adults so researchers can learn what “intermittent hypoxia” does to the body in people without medical problems.

Who can take part
- You are a healthy adult age 18 to 45
- You have lived in Calgary for the past year
- You do not have medical conditions that affect the brain, heart/lungs, kidneys, or metabolism
- You are not pregnant and do not have obesity or sleep breathing problems
- You must not take blood pressure medications
- You should not be lactose intolerant and must not currently smoke
