Who can take part
- You have a condition like quadriplegia, ALS, brainstem stroke, or locked-in syndrome
- Your condition started at least 1 year ago
- You must be between 22 and 70 years old
- You and your caregiver can reliably communicate in the study (for example using eye movements), and have support to help monitor you
- You are medically cleared for surgery and can travel up to 100 miles up to 3 days per week
- You must be able to take part safely with MRI when needed and complete study instructions
