Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 70 years old.
- You are currently in a locked-in state or likely to get there within 2 years due to injury, stroke, or disease.
- You have severe weakness or paralysis in all four limbs or trouble speaking.
- You either use a ventilator through a tracheostomy, or can breathe safely on your own and agree to get one if needed.
- You are healthy enough for brain surgery and live close enough to the University Medical Center Utrecht.
