Voice and swallowing therapy device during head and neck cancer treatment

Who can take part

  • You have a new diagnosis in the mouth, throat (oropharynx or hypopharynx), or voice box (larynx)
  • Your main treatment plan includes radiation therapy, with or without chemotherapy
  • You are 18 or older and able to consent
  • You can reliably use the EMST150 device (hold it in your mouth and keep your lips sealed)
  • You should not have had prior radiation to the head and neck area
