Who can take part
- Your child is between about 44 weeks after birth (post-menstrual age) and up to 11 years old
- Your child is planned to be admitted to the pediatric ICU at Vanderbilt Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital
- Your child needs a breathing machine and sedation
- Your child has not been on continuous sedation for more than 72 hours before screening
- Your child is not expected to come off the breathing machine right away at screening
- Your child can be assessed for brain side effects during the study
