Who can take part

  • You had an acute ischemic stroke (a blocked blood vessel) and underwent mechanical thrombectomy.
  • Clot-removal result was good (blood flow score mTICI 2b or 3).
  • Your current symptoms score was between 2 and 25 (NIHSS).
  • Before this stroke, you could function well enough (mRS before stroke was under 3).
  • Your stroke area did not bleed in the last 6 weeks, and you did not have a stent placed in the responsible vessel before.
  • You must be able to have the procedure with local anesthesia/sedation, and you can sign consent (you or a legal representative).
