- You can be any age and any race/ethnicity, and both males and females are welcome
- You have dystonia in a form such as focal (like neck, voice box, jaw, eyelids, hand), segmental, or generalized
- Your symptoms may look like dystonia because of another movement issue (like Parkinson’s disease, essential tremor, dyskinesia, or myoclonus) or related conditions (like tics, torticollis, jaw problems, or voice issues)
- You must be able to understand the study and give informed consent (or have a legally authorized person who can)
- You must be able to get a brain MRI; some tattoos or metal/implants may make MRI unsafe unless removable
- If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you may not be able to join at this time
