Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 65 years old.
- Your diagnosis is peripheral artery disease caused by atherosclerosis (plaque buildup in arteries).
- You cannot have surgery or a catheter procedure to reopen the blocked artery, or those options have not worked.
- You have at least one leg ulcer, about 0.5 to 10 square centimeters in size.
- Your blood-flow test is low (ABPI 0.6 or less, or if ABPI is not usable, TBI 0.5 or less).
