Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with ATTR-CM, a type of heart muscle disease caused by abnormal protein buildup.
- Your mitral valve is leaking severely (grade 3 or 4), causing symptoms like shortness of breath or fatigue.
- You have heart failure symptoms (NYHA class II, III, or IV but not completely bedridden) and are on standard heart failure medications.
- Your heart team has decided that mitral valve surgery is not an option for you.
- Your heart's pumping function is at least 20%.
- You are 18 years or older and able to attend follow-up visits.
- You are not pregnant and do not plan to become pregnant in the next year.
- You do not have other active infections or conditions that would make the procedure unsafe.
