Sex differences in CTEPH heart function and recovery

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have been diagnosed with chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH)
  • You had an echocardiogram (heart ultrasound) within 3 months of your diagnosis that clearly shows how your right heart squeezes
  • You had a right heart catheterization (a test that measures heart pressures) when you were diagnosed
  • You are not pregnant
  • For one part of the study, you must have had PTE surgery and a follow-up echocardiogram 3-9 months later
