Who can take part

  • You have type 2 diabetes with a foot ulcer that is not an emergency.
  • Your blood sugar control (HbA1c) is below 10%.
  • You have peripheral artery disease (blocked leg arteries) and are at Fontaine stage IV (foot ulcer).
  • Your foot ulcer is Wagner stage 1 (shallow, without deep infection or bone involvement).
  • You are over 18 years old and able to give consent.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and have not had certain medications (like chemotherapy or antibiotics) within 2 weeks.
