Who can take part
- You are currently admitted to a hospital, but you are not in the intensive care unit (ICU).
- You are 18 years or older.
- A Medical Emergency Team was called because you had a serious problem like trouble breathing, very fast or very slow heartbeat, very low blood pressure, sudden confusion, or a drop in consciousness.
- Your kidney function is good (blood creatinine level is 2 mg/dL or lower).
- You are not currently receiving chest compressions (cardiac massage).
- You have not taken phosphocreatine in the last 30 days.
