Who can take part
- You had a stroke caused by a blood clot (ischemic stroke).
- You had a special MRI scan of your neck arteries (carotid arteries) without contrast dye as part of your regular care.
- Your MRI was done within 10 days of your stroke symptoms starting.
- Your stroke was not in the back part of the brain and not on both sides.
- You have not had a stent placed in your neck artery or surgery to remove plaque from that artery.
- You are at least 18 years old and can give written permission to join the study.
