Who can take part

  • You must have a genetic test showing 40 or more CAG repeats in the Huntington gene.
  • You must have some shrinkage in a specific area of the brain (the striatum) as seen on an MRI or CT scan.
  • Your movement symptoms should be noticeable enough to affect daily life, but you should still be able to handle most daily tasks on your own.
  • If you take any medications for depression, anxiety, or movement, the doses must have been stable for at least 3 months.
  • You cannot have had certain types of brain treatments in the past, like gene therapy, deep brain stimulation, or recent experimental drugs.
