Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • You took part in the earlier anxiety and cataract surgery study at National Taiwan University Hospital.
  • You are now going to have cataract surgery on your second eye using numbing eye drops.
  • You have never had a bad side effect from the anti-anxiety medicine XANAX.
  • You do not regularly use anti-anxiety pills, sleeping pills, or painkillers.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and you are able to answer questionnaires clearly.
