Who can take part

  • First stroke within the last 6 months (or a later stroke more than 6 months ago)
  • Age 18 to 84 years old
  • Stroke affected the middle cerebral artery area of the brain
  • Stroke caused moderate to moderately severe symptoms (NIHSS score 5-25)
  • Some disability from the stroke (mRS score 2 or higher)
  • Right-handed
  • Able to understand and cooperate with treatment (MMSE score 15 or higher)
