Who can take part
- You must be 18 years or older.
- You need to have symptoms like shortness of breath, fatigue, poor appetite, or swelling in your legs.
- Your heart's pumping function must be normal or only mildly reduced (ejection fraction of 50% or more).
- A blood test (NT-proBNP) must show elevated levels — over 125 if you have a regular heart rhythm, or over 365 if you have atrial fibrillation.
- You cannot have used Xinyue Capsule or other heart-related Chinese herbal medicines in the past 3 months.
- You cannot have had a recent heart attack, heart failure hospitalization, or other serious heart event in the past 90 days.
