iMSC cells to prevent severe graft-versus-host disease after transplant

This trial tests whether giving a special type of immune-regulating cells (iMSCs) can help prevent a serious complication called graft-versus-host disease (GvHD) after a stem cell transplant. Who can take part

  • You are between 14 and 70 years old
  • You have had a stem cell transplant from another person (allogeneic) for a blood disease, and it has been 7 to 21 days since the transplant
  • Your standard GvHD prevention medicines include a CNI (like tacrolimus or cyclosporine) and mycophenolate mofetil, with or without methotrexate and rabbit ATG
  • A special blood test (MAP score) shows you are at increased risk for GvHD at day 7 or day 14 after transplant
  • Your overall health is fairly good (ECOG score 0-2 and HCT-CI score 0-3)
  • You do not have serious organ failure, active infections (like hepatitis B, C, HIV, or syphilis), or another cancer (except certain treated skin or cervical cancers)
