This trial tests if colchicine can reduce the risk of another stroke caused by bleeding in the brain due to a condition called cerebral amyloid angiopathy (CAA). You may qualify if you've recently had a brain bleed from CAA and have certain signs on brain scans.

Who can take part
- You are 55 years of age or older.
- You have been diagnosed with probable CAA (a condition where protein builds up in brain blood vessels) based on a brain scan or biopsy.
- You are at high risk for another brain bleed because you have either had one bleed plus a specific brain scan finding (cortical superficial siderosis) or at least two prior bleeds.
- Your most recent brain bleed happened within the last 3 months.
- You are able to complete a brain MRI scan with a special type of imaging (SWI).
- You do not have serious kidney, liver, or blood disorders, and you are not currently taking certain medications that interact with colchicine.
