A-Fib redo ablation vs pacemaker study (REDO-AF)

Who can take part

  • You must have had at least one ablation for atrial fibrillation in the past.
  • Your AF symptoms must have come back more than 2 months after your last ablation and bother you enough that medications can't control them.
  • You need to have either a larger-than-normal left atrium on an echo or a HATCH score of 2 or higher.
  • Your doctor must think you are healthy enough for both a repeat ablation and a pacemaker with AV node ablation.
  • You must be willing to fill out questionnaires about your quality of life and sign a consent form.
