  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • You have long-term heart failure caused by blocked arteries (ischemic cardiomyopathy).
  • Your heart's pumping ability (LVEF) is between 21% and 40%.
  • You have heart failure symptoms, even with mild activity (NYHA class II–IV).
  • You are planning to have bypass surgery (CABG) to improve blood flow to your heart.
