Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You are scheduled for planned or urgent (but not emergency) coronary artery bypass surgery
  • You have never had a stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA)
  • You have no history of brain bleeding or neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's or multiple sclerosis
  • You do not have any metal implants or devices that are not safe for MRI
