- You are 18 years or older
- You are scheduled for planned or urgent (but not emergency) coronary artery bypass surgery
- You have never had a stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA)
- You have no history of brain bleeding or neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's or multiple sclerosis
- You do not have any metal implants or devices that are not safe for MRI
