Who can take part

  • You must be 40 or older (or 30-39 with serious health problems that make standard chemotherapy too risky).
  • Your leukemia must be in complete remission after initial treatment, with no signs of cancer cells in the bone marrow.
  • You need to have a protein called CD19 on your leukemia cells.
  • You cannot have active leukemia in the fluid around your brain or spinal cord.
  • Your liver, kidneys, lungs, and heart must be working reasonably well, and you should be able to manage daily activities.
