  • You are 18 years old or older
  • You have been diagnosed with an acute pulmonary embolism (a blood clot in the lung), regardless of size
  • You can give informed consent yourself, or a legally authorized representative can consent on your behalf
  • You are able to participate in study activities as determined by the research team
  • You are able to undergo an MRI scan (an imaging test that uses magnets, not radiation)
