Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older with confirmed cirrhosis (liver scarring from any cause)
- You have portal hypertension, shown by enlarged veins, fluid buildup in your belly, or enlarged spleen
- Your liver disease is stable or mildly worsened (Child-Pugh score 7–10), with no major changes in the last 3 months
- You had an endoscopy (camera down the throat) in the last 6 months, and any high-risk bleeding veins were treated
- You have not had active bleeding from your stomach or esophagus in the last 6 weeks
- You are willing to stop other blood thinners or aspirin before the study starts
