  • Child is between 2 and 15 years old
  • Child is scheduled for minor elective (planned, non-urgent) surgery requiring general anesthesia
  • Child will receive either paracetamol or cefazolin as part of standard care during surgery
  • An artery or vein is available for safe blood sampling during surgery
  • Parent or guardian gives written permission for the child to participate
  • Child has no known allergies to paracetamol or cefazolin
