Brain Implant to Treat Hard-to-Treat Depression

Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with major depressive disorder (clinical depression without psychosis) and are currently in a depressive episode
  • You've tried at least 2 different types of antidepressants at adequate doses without sustained relief
  • You are between 22 and 85 years old
  • You do not have other metal implants in your head, pacemakers, or implanted pumps
  • You have not taken ketamine, esketamine, or hallucinogenic drugs in the past 30 days
  • You are willing to have brain imaging scans and attend follow-up visits for the study
