Who can take part

  • Age 18 or older
  • Confirmed lung cancer (non-small cell type) with tumors in the brain, shown on MRI scan
  • Planning to receive radiation combined with an immunotherapy drug (PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitor)
  • Overall health status allows for treatment; expected to live at least 3 months
  • No previous brain radiation, brain surgery, or stereotactic radiation for brain tumors
  • No active autoimmune disease requiring daily immune-suppressing medications
